Miriam Bauer M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Bauer is a board-certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Born and raised in Laredo, she spent her undergraduate years at Texas A&M in College Station. She received her medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. She and her husband then moved to Memphis where she completed her internship and residency at The University of Tennessee. Afterwards, they returned to San Antonio where she has been practicing pediatric medicine for over ten years. Dr. Bauer has many interests including jogging, playing tennis, gardening, and cooking. Above all, she enjoys spending time with her husband, an Internal Medicine physician, and four wonderful children.

Carrie Beatty M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Beatty is a board-certified pediatrician who has been providing care to Texas children for over ten years. Born and raised in San Antonio, she left the state to attend Hood College in Frederick, Maryland. She later returned to complete medical school, internship, and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She currently holds membership with the Bexar County Medical Society and Texas Medical Association. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is dedicated to her husband, a residential appraiser, and three wonderful girls. She especially enjoys reading and attending her girls' athletic events.

Renee Henigan M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Reneé Henigan is a native of Louisiana and has lived in Texas for the past thirteen years. She graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX with a degree in Biomedical Science and then received her M.D. from Texas A&M Health Science Center. After graduating from medical school, she completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She has been working as a pediatric hospitalist with UTHSCSA since completing residency and is excited to be joining Tejas Pediatrics in June 2011. Dr. Henigan is a board certified pediatrician who is dedicated to providing excellent medical care for all children. She firmly believes that children's health is significantly improved by quality primary care and evidence based preventative medicine. Dr. Henigan is happily married, has one daughter, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends here in San Antonio.

Michelle Storandt M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Storandt is board-certified pediatrician who joined Tejas Pediatrics in 2006. Born in Corpus Christi and raised in Austin, she left Texas to attend Johns Hopkins University. She completed medical school, internship, and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and holds membership within the San Antonio Pediatric Society, Texas Pediatric Society, and Bexar County Medical Society. A native Texan, she and her husband, owner of a media production company, have lived in San Antonio for ten years. They are currently very busy with their two little boys. Dr. Storandt enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.

Cheryl Trexler M.D., F.A.A.P
Dr. Trexler grew up in San Antonio and attended Roosevelt High School. She is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station. She received her medical degree and residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She and her family returned to San Antonio in 2000. Dr. Trexler and her husband, Michael, have three daughters. Spending time with her family is a priority for her. In her free time she enjoys camping, gardening, reading and traveling. Dr. Trexler is a board-certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and she belongs to the Bexar County Medical Society. She appreciates children's enthusiasm for life and this reminds her to notice the little details and joys we adults tend to overlook. Getting to know patients' families and watching them grow and mature is very rewarding to her.

Frances Jones L.V.N.
Tejas Pediatrics is very fortunate to have Nurse Frances. She has provided the highest standard of nursing care for over twenty years. She attended Houston Community College where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She then attended Hermann Hospital School of Vocational Nursing in Houston, Texas where she received a Clinical Excellence Award. She began her career in the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit at Hermann Hospital and then moved on to pediatric private practice. She has been with Tejas Pediatrics since 2002. She is the proud mother of an outstanding teenage daughter who keeps her busy with athletic events.
